Plastic surgeon Joseph Cannova Jr., M.D. was drawn to Associated Plastic Surgeons because of the diversity of cases seen by the group. "If you're skilled at a procedure as complex as breast reconstruction, your skills in cosmetic surgery will be equally excellent," Dr. Cannova explains.

He truly enjoys performing cosmetic procedures and finds reconstructive work equally gratifying. For the sureon, the most rewarding aspect of plastic surgery is that his patients see results that can change their outlook on life.

"For some people, a cosmetic procedure can make all the difference," says the physician. "Helping people achieve this is very rewarding."

Dr. Cannova is not surprised that he see patients of all ages in his practice. His patients in their 20s and 30s are generally women who want breast reduction or augmentation. Patients 40 and older want to rejuvenate their skin through facelift, eye lift or laser surgery. Women after the childbearing years seek a more attractive appearance through tummy tucks or liposuction.
