Women cite better quality of life after breast implants

Wednesday, November 28, 2012

Feeling flat and inadequate can have a very negative impact on a woman's life, getting in the way of really enjoying herself on the beach, at parties or even at work. There is a very solid image of how women should look in America, and if ladies don't fit that mold, they may develop self-deprecating tendencies. Getting breast implants can change that situation, providing women with the curves they've dreamt of.

Chicago Now reported that a study published in the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Journal found women were much happier with their long term living situations after receiving breast implants. The study looked at over 40 women before and after they underwent these procedures and found that getting increased bust sizes helped with nearly every aspect of their lives. These were all cosmetic procedures with positive outcomes, but looking at the effect of such operations over time shows the true value of these kinds of surgeries. As the source stated, one of the most important factors was that women felt they were changing their bodies for the better, giving them a superior overall outlook after the healing was complete.

Regardless of why women seek implants, they can feel confident and attractive once the process is finished. One breast implant recipient, Jodi Brown, told the Ottawa Citizen that she was so happy with her results that, only a few short weeks after her procedure, she was in a bikini on the beach. Recipients have said they are happiest with their new breasts, and testimonial from patients themselves show this to be accurate.

"My new breasts are my favorite," Brown told the source.
