Not sure what size implant to choose?
Wednesday, October 19, 2011
Most people who opt for breast augmentation surgery do so in the aim to attain larger breasts. However, many women are lost when it comes to choosing the right size. Implant size is one of the hardest decisions to make before your surgery, because you want to do everything you can to try to ensure you'll be pleased with the post-op results.
A few things must be considered, including your desired results. If you want natural-looking breasts, consider going with a realistic size. This is a size that will look natural on your body after surgery.
If you don't mind implants that are slightly less natural-looking, then go with the larger of your desired sizes. Many women who get implants complain that they aren't large enough, which is usually a result of their fear of going too large.
It's important to remember when choosing implant sizes that implants rarely look as large as natural breasts. If you're going to take the plunge anyway, go for the larger size.
However, keep in mind that the bigger you go, the higher the risk of complication. Talk to your surgeon about any concerns you may have regarding risks in relation to the size of the implant. Don't go larger than is recommended by the surgeon.
