Dr. Hyman is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery. Dr. Hyman is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at Weill Medical College of Cornell University. Dr. Hyman completed his general surgical training at the University of California, San Diego and continued his training in Plastic Surgery at the combined program of Cornell and Columbia University in Manhattan, New York. During his plastic surgery residency, Dr. Hyman trained at some of the country’s finest hospitals including New York Presbyterian, Columbia University, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and the Hospital For Special Surgery.

Dr. Hyman’s practice is located on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, and his office is one of the largest of its kind in Manhattan. The office includes a private ambulatory surgery center that is maintained according to the highest standards and is certified by the American Association For Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities, Inc (AAAASF), for which Dr. Hyman is an inspector. Dr. Hyman uses only board certified Anesthesiologists in his office. Dr. Hyman’s staff consists of six professionals, who will make all aspects of your surgical experience as easy and pleasant as possible. Patients can spend the night in Dr. Hyman’s recovery facility with his private nurse if desired or necessary.

Dr. Hyman has written numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals and won awards for his research contributions. Dr. Hyman performs all facial and body cosmetic surgeries, including surgeries after massive weight loss. Dr. Hyman receives many referrals for “Mommy Makeover’s,” which entail breast and abdomen cosmetic procedures. In addition, Dr. Hyman has a particular interest in the minimal incision brachioplasty or “MIB” procedure, on which he has written many articles and researched extensively. Dr. Hyman is on staff at Lenox Hill Hospital as well as Manhattan Eye Ear Throat Hospital. He is involved actively in teaching Aesthetic Surgery Fellows at Lenox Hill Hospital.
