Dr. Jacobs has enjoyed an expansive career in Plastic Surgery. He continues in the active practice of clinical plastic surgery with special interest in facial aesthetics, rhinoplasty, breast and body recontouring. He is author of over 60 scientific articles and book chapters. He is a previous guest examiner for the American Board of Plastic Surgery. A past president of the American Society of Maxillofacial Surgeons and the Virginia Society of Plastic Surgeons. He is an active member of all major plastic surgical organizations and he chaired the surgical executive committee at Sentara Leigh Hospital for seven years, the institution at which he does most of his in hospital work.
