Dr. Sommer has special interest and expertise in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the breast. Upon completing her plastic surgery residency, Dr. Sommer trained with Dr. G.P. Maxwell, a plastic surgeon internationally known for his expertise in breast surgery. She is the only Illinois plastic surgeon south of Chicago with extra training specific to cosmetic and reconstructive breast surgery.
