Destin Plastic Surgery is a world leader in breast augmentation. People from around the world have traveled to Destin, Florida, to undergo breast enhancement. Dr. Burden has assembled an experienced staff that will work towards your best result. He will review your options and partner with you to achieve your desired goal. Dr. Burden is an innovator in advanced techniques in breast augmentation. Having performed The University of Florida’s first endoscopic breast augmentation in 1994, he performed Northwest Florida’s first in 1995. He has performed thousands of no-scar-on-the-breast augmentation procedures. Very few surgeons in The United States have achieved his level of experience. Dr. Burden has taught other surgeons on the technique, has published articles, and is currently writing a text on the procedure. Dr. Burden has been recognized by The Mentor Corporation as a leader in breast augmentation and has been selected as a principal investigator for the post-operatively-adjustable Becker gel breast implant. Only thirty investigators were selected in The United States. Thousands of patients have been very pleased with the results that they have obtained with the no-scar-on-the-breast technique. Not only have these women liked their results, but they have had long-standing good results with very few problems. In fact, many of Dr. Burden’s patients who have had breast augmentation between ten and fifteen years ago return to him for other procedures and report that their results are still as good now as the first year that they had the procedure. The no-scar-on-the-breast technique also places the implant in a “Dual Plane” position. Many surgeons have jumped on the Dual Plane bandwagon in recent years. Dr. Burden has been performing this procedure for over fifteen years. In addition to no scar being on the breast, the technique allows for greater coverage of the implant in the upper pole area to prevent high visibility of the implant, and minimizes the capsular contracture rate. Recent analysis of Dr. Burden’s contracture rate shows it well below 1%. Dr. Burden will spend time with you to help determine the right size implant, as well as the right type of implant. Digital imaging will be performed and you will be allowed to see many before-and-after pictures, which will help you in determining the right size for you. Dr. Burden specializes in all breast procedures. His extensive experience with breast reconstruction and breast lifting has allowed him to publish articles on the subject. Dr. Burden has developed advanced techniques in breast lift surgery, which allow for superior upper breast fullness following a mastopexy. Vision, innovation, and experience - these are the reasons that nurses, doctors, and their families seek out his care in this world-class facility.
